Psychodots – Awkwardsville – 1995 –Strugglebaby
The last Pschodots studio album and my favorite, this album transcends the’90’s with songs that instantly catch your attention and won’t let go. This line-up is Rob Fetters on Guitar, Bob Nyswonger on Bass and Chris Arduser playing drums and mandolin. Guest appearance by Over the Rhine’s Karin Bergquist on the track “Joy and Madness”.

The Raisins – The Raisins – 1983 –Strugglebaby
The first album from the band that would one day (1985) become The Bears with the addition of Adrian Belew. There are some tracks that hold up better after 21 years than others and there is an early ‘80’s feel on part of it. However, if you are not familiar with “Fear is Never Boring” or “Interspecies Love,” run, don’t walk, and buy this album.

The Bears–The Bears–1987–PMRC records
Don’t spend too much time harassing the guy at Media Play for a copy of this classic. It is out of print. So call a friend who is a Bears fan and steal his copy. The music alone is worth it, but the album cover art seals the deal. The artwork was done by MAD magazine's Mort Drucke captures Adrian Belew, Rob Fetters, Bob Nyswonger, and Chris Arduser and 1987 to a “T”.

Rob Fetters–Lefty Loose, Righty Tight–1998–BabyRanch
This is an extremely personal and introspective album from a seasoned musician and songwriter. Songs like “Your Favorite Guitar Player” and “Career Move” are examples of some the most honest lyrics of any rock album that I can remember. Add to that some very well produced tracks and this is a C.D. that you might have over looked at one time, but deserves a second listen. At the very least buy it to hear Adrian Belew’s drum work (who knew).

Psychodots – On The Grid – 1993 – Strugglebaby
This is the second Psychodot album. It contains great tunes such as “Angel”, “Death Ranch”, “Big Love Now” and an old Raisin’s favorite “King of Beers”.
