Main Street in the Future; What to Get in Case of Baby
By Leslie Ghiz

With the opening of places like McFaddens, The Diner and a handful of other places, has the focus been pulled off of Main Street ?
Chad W
Not at all. I don't think these business owners meant to stay away from Main Street , they just found locations that were better suited to their needs. There are many of us, council candidates and council members, who would like to see Main Street thrive. However, we need to get council to approve an idea such as blocking off a few streets around Main once a month. Until we elect new leadership on council, I don't see that happening. So get out and vote.
What should I get for my sister when she has her baby? Should I get something for my brother in law too? Flowers? Champaign ?
Tara M
This question is right up my alley. Both my sisters had babies last year. I always get the baby, and the star of the show, gifts first. Usually necessary clothes like onesies, wash cloths, towels, and the outfits I buy are always easy to put on and take off baby and can be washed in the washing machine. Another great gift for a new baby is children’s books. Some of my favorites: Goodnight Moon; the Very Hungry Caterpillar; Pat the Bunny, and any Sandra Boynton books kids love these). DO NOT BUY STUFFED ANIMALS. They will get plenty of these from other people. For my sisters, a massage is nice. Sometimes you can even throw in one for dad.
